DANCE AT ST. PETER’S.

The Old Students’ Association, of the Wellington Technical College held its annual dance last night in St. Pater’s Hall, Ghuznee street. From a financial point of view, as well as socially, the dance must have been a great success, for the hall was well filled with dancers, while there wore quite a number of chaperons. Mrs J. P. Luke, Mr and Mrs La Trobe, Mr and Mrs Barnshaw, Mr and Mrs Graham, Mr and Mrs McVio.tr were present. The decorations were of pink and white. Strands of muslin in these colours stretched across the coiling, and pink roses decorated the walls. In the sup-per-room there was a dado of white, picked out in black and yellow, with lycopodium and more roses. Mr Oscar

Johnstone superintended the supper arrangements. Mrs Luke was in black, with a brocaded coat; Mrs La Trobe wore black satin, with a sash of floral ribbon; Mrs McVicar, black silk, with a velvet- coat; Mrs Earushaw, brown silk, with cream lace; Mrs Gyles, grey hrocho silk; Mrs Graham, black silk, with touches of yellow and jet trimming; Mrs O. Williams, pink crepe do chine and a blue belt; Mrs Lux was in bronze silk, with floral ribbon; and Mademoiselle do Bosson, red silk with gold The committee consisted of Miss Welsby, who wore pale blue, with an overdress of jewelled net; Miss Gyles, in patterned foulard, tied with yellow ribbons; Miss Strew, in floral ninon, with yellow belt; Miss Williamson, in deep pink ebarmeuse, with tunic of lace; Miss Caddick, in blue, with white fur edging; Miss Fredric, in white silk, with belt -and rose of coral pink; also Messrs Ellis, Walls, Earnshaw, Dixon, Caddick, and Millier. Miss Fredric and Mr Millier were the joint secretaries, and all were distinguished by rosettes of black and yellow ribbon.
