NO CONFIDENCE IN APPEAL BOARD CHAIRMANPress Association. DUNEDIN, July 10. The Railway Offipere’ Institute con* fcrenco concluded this evening. A great number of questions were con* sidorcd, and it was decided.:—(ll That superannuation rights should be conserved for members dismissed after thirty years’ service; (2) that the officers have ho confidence la the presezit chairman of trho Hallway Ap* peal Board: (3) that the management be asked to appoint a Staff and Pro* motion Board to deal with staff questions; (4) that the management bfl asked to review the matter of hours at certain stations where they are considered excessive: (5) that members of the professional branch of the service bo placed on the same footing as the same branch in the Public Service; (C) that delegates should pay an annual visit to each branch of tlio institute.
