Tho number of shocp and lambs dealt with at the AVaingawa freezing works for tho year ended June 30th was 261,957, as against 266,170 in the previous year. The number cf cattle slaughtered was 6006, and calves 513. In tho previous year the cattle and calves combined numbered 2270. Twenty thousand cull ewes were dealt with in tho 1012-13 season, while no culls- were received at tho works during tho year just ended. From tho beginning of December last till the end of April over £IOOO per week had been paid out by tbo company in salaries and wages, and tho company has had the most successful year it has experienced since it commenced operations.
