Acting on a Sydney warrant the Tasmanian police arrested a man named Samuel Faulkinor aboard a Launceston train on a charge that, knowing that Ryan committed tho Eveleigh robbery, ho at Alclbourne harboured and maintained and assisted Ryan. ■ A search disclosed fifty-seven five pound notes on Sydney banks sewn in Faulkiner’s clothing, also twenty pounds in gold. Faulkiner, until recently, was employed in a city warehouse. According to tho police, about thp time of the Evcleigh hold-np ho suddenly left his employment, tho excuse being his daughter’s illness. Ho wore a neat costume and a largo hat, and carried a baby. He had dyed his hair. Women •travelling in the carriage failed to detect his disguise.
