BOWLING
HUTT VALLEY MATCHES. A toam from Lower played Potone, tho holders of the Hill Pins, on Wednesday afternoon for possession of tho trophy. Excellent bowling was shown by both tho challengers and holders. Potone, after a most interesting game, tho result of which was doubtful until the last head was played, managed to retain tho trophies by a margin of 4 points. Tho teams and scores were: —
Two other teams from Lower Hutt also played two from Petono on tho Potone greon, and suffered defeat by 50 points. The visitors found tho Potone green very much 1 keener than their own and somewhat tricky, circumstances which interfered with their play. Scores; —
