NEW HUNTLY UNION
REGISTRATION A FACT. Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 19. It is announced that the president of tho new union at Huntly is Mr Dixon, and the secretary Mr A. A. ■Stewart. Since the announcement was made a few days ago that tbe new union had been registered, many doubts have been expressed as to the truth of the statement. . Tho president and secretary returned to Huntly to-day, and when asked, promptly produced the certificate of registration. It sets out that the new union was registered under tho style of the Taupiri Coal Mine Workers’ Industrial Union of Workers on December 13th. Asked whether a new' agreement had been made, tho president replied in the affirmative, but stated that no information on this point could yet be made public. The following notice, signed by the president and secretary of tho now union, has been mad© public:—“As all applications for membership of thTaupiri Coal Mine Workers’ Industrial Union of Workers must be submitted to the executive, written applications must be in the hands of the secretary on or before December 27th.”
