EDUCATIONISTS TO CONFER. The Education Board yesterday received a recommendation from the committee, to whom had been referred the general question of medical inspection of school children. The recommendation made wad that before the committee finally reported on the question, the Inspector-General of Schools be invited to a conference with a view to arriving at the best means of promoting medical inspection, while at the same time reducing as far as possible the amount of work imposed on teachers. The recommendation was adopted, ond it was resolved that tho secretary (Mr Q. L. Stewart) and the Chief Inspector (Mr T. R. Fleming) discuss the matter with Mr G. Hogben, In-spector-General of Schools.
