FALL OVER CLIFF

MAN'S HEAD SMASHED TO PULP. Press Association. STRATFORD, October 21. Mr C. F. Francis, a worker in Mount Egmont metal quarries, met his death to-day by falling over the cliff, a distance of 150 feet. His head was smashed to pulp. Ho had been working on the job for one month only, and little is known of him. His body was brought by tram from Waipuku to here to-night, and lies in the morgue. An inquest will be held on Thursday.
