FIRE IN ONEHUNGA
INMATES’ NARROW, ESCAPE, Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 21. A fire occurred at about 3 o'clock tin's morning in Onehuaga in a house owned by Mr Adam Jones cud occupied by Mr Hopkinson, a blacksmith. Mr Hopkinson was not at horns, bating left three days ago for New Plymouth. A neighbour was sleeping in the house with three of her own children and two of J 1 r HopKinson's, who just managed to escape from tho burning budding in their night attire. The house was badly damaged, while the furniture was destroyed. The house was insured for £230, tha wash-house for £30,-and tho furniture for £IOO in tho Royal.
