DEATH OF AN OLD SETTLER

forty years resident in PUKEKOHE. Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 16. Yesterday morning the body of an old resident of Pukekohe, Robert Latimer, was discovered at his home on Pukekohe Hill by some visitors to the house. Mr Latimer was a bachelor, and lived by himself. He was last seen in Pukokohe early in the week, and when ‘the body was discovered yesterday it was evident that death had taken place a day or two previously. The deceased was found in his night clothes, lying on the floor alongside t.he hed. As deceased had been undergoing medical treatment an inquest was not considered necessary. The late Mr Latimer was a man of means, and had lived in the district for about forty years.
