DARWIN STRIKE

ADMINISTRATOR’S DECISION OVER-RULED. (Received May 28, 8 p-m.) DARWIN, May 28. The local branch of the Amalgamated Workers passed a resolution agreeing to return to work on condition that ail the strikers were reinstated. The Administrator (Dr Gilruth) refused to reinstate the strikers. The union telegraphed to the Minister in Melbourne, and since then many of the positions have been filled, and all strikers not returning by a given time are to be deemed to have resigned. There is much curiosity regarding the outcome.
