"I was out of Sorts through irregularity of the bowels afld constipation." writes Hr Thomas Hodda, Ottse, Tas. “Seeing on advertisement on Chamber* lain's Tablets I decided to try them, but did so doubtingly as eO many medicines had failed. The result was so satisfactory that I now carry a bottle of Chamberlain's Tablets in my pocket wherever I go." Sold everywhere.

Tho Commonwealth Minister of Oua toms, Mr Tudor, has received from Mr O. Q. Cherry (the veterinary inspector attached to tho High Commissioner'* staff in London) a report ih which he makes pointed reference to the desir ability of improving the breeds of beef and mutton producing stock. In the cotirae of the report Mr Cherry states that he recently visited the Smith field Club’s cattle show, at which there were 42 classes for different breeds ol cattle, comprising" 280 entries, and in addition three classes in the beef car case competition which comprised 36 animals. Fox different breeds of sheep there were three classes, including 164 entries, and in addition six classes with 89 entries for the mutton carcase com* petition. In the carcase competition the carcase awards differed in many cases from the _ placings when alive. Though unquestionably these exhibit; were stall and com fed, one could not help noticing the perfection of conformation in the various breeds, particularly in cattle, the fineness' of bones, the lightness of ncc«, development of croup, back, and loins, all the points of economical importance to the meat trader, and all illustrating what may bo achieved by care and selection in breeding. It is Mr Cherry’s opinion that tho promotion of carcase competitions woijld be the best means of demonstrating tho crosses necessary for improving the present Australian strains. As regards the encouragement for improving sheep for mutton purposes, Mr Cherry states that the objective should be suitable carcase not over 601 b in weight. Far Branchial Cough* taka WoadV .
