ANGLICAN BENEDICTINES
ADMISSION TO ROMAN CATHOLIC ORDER. LONDON, February 26. The Anglican ‘Benedictine Order, on the Island of Caldey, off the Pembrokeshire coast, which was established in 1895, being unable to accept the conditions on which the Bishop of Oxford (Dr. Gore) would accept tho episcopalvictorship, has decided to ask for admission into the Roman Catholic Benedictine Order., ■ Thirty of tho monks will join the Church of Rome. Tho younger members refuse to join. . The Anglican . nuns of St. Bride’s, Milford Haven, except twp, will also join the Catholic Church.
