AUCKLAND, February 24. At tho Supreme Court Herbert Wallace, alias Worman, and Thomas William 1 Adams came up for sentence on charges of assault and robbery. The former was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment and the latter to eighteen months, to be followed by eighteen months’ reformative treatment. WANGANUI, February 24. The Supreme Court sessions opened this morning with a very small calendar. The Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) congratulated the district on the absence of crime.
