She is due hero about 0.30 o’clock to-morrow night. MOANA PEOM SYDNEY. The Union Company’s steamer Moaaa left Sydney at 3 p.m. on Saturday for San Francisco via Wellington, ilarotonga and Papeete. 'The vessel is bring-, ing seventeen first saloon, six secondclass, and- six third-class passengers for Now Zealand. The forward passengers comprise seventeen first, eight second, and twenty-throe third-class. The Mioana is duo hero early on Thursday morning. WRECKAGE SIGHTED. The Marino Department received a telegram yesterday from Gisborne stating that the Captain of the Kowhai reports haying sighted, off . Castlepoint, submerged wreckage with 6ft of a broken mast above the water. The sea was too rough to launch a boat for closer inspection. The position of the wreckage' was 40 deg 56mm south latitude, 176 deg SSJmin east latitude. This is probably the same wreckage sighted oft the East Coast by the Natal Transport in December. ’ The debris is generally believed to be the wreckage chopped away from the barquentine Wanganui when she was dismasted in Cook Strait a few months age.
