dominion record broken. IN LIVE STOCK DIVISION. Many there were wlio doubted the wisdom of changing the date of the Taranaki A. and P. Show from spring to autumn, but that it was a Wise move on the part of the committee is proved by the number of entries than have been received for the show, which is to be held on the racecourse next Wednesday and Thursday. Entries for live stock alone total 1652, which is easily a record for New Zealand, exoeeding the previous best by about 200. The cattle and horse sections are particularly strong. There is keen competition in the fat cattle, classes, in which Taranaki will be out against Wanganui and Masterton. Jerseys, Ayrshires, and Holsteins, - always strong classes here, are records. In the horse sections the entries are large and the display of jumping should be such as must please the most fastidious. All the champions at the shows down the coast will be in the'mg in competition. The dairy produce section is much larger than was the case last year. Taken right through the experiment of holding an autumn show has made good.
