BELGRAVE SQUARE RAID HEAVY FINES IMPOSED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copvrieht LONDON, January 13. Roy Mackay and William Prose, charged with keeping a gambling-house in Belgravo square, were fined £SOO each, with 15 guineas costs. The police raided a mansion in Belgrave square on December 16tb and arrested twenty people bolding good social positions. It was stated that a prominent lady lost £28,000 at baccarat. The evidence of fifty detectives who raided the gaming house showed that it was one of the largest gambling establishments ever raided in the West End. The stake counters ranged from one to a hundred pounds. The players were bound over in sums of £SO to be of good behaviour. The principals were remanded on bail.
