HOME RULE BILL

MR BALFOUR TO MOVE REJECTION By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received January 14, 9.35 p.m.) LONDON, January 14. In the House of Commons, Mr A. J. Balfour gave notice to move the rejection of tho Home Rule Bill on the order for tho third reading. NEW CLAUSE INSERTED. “ THE TRIUMPH OF ORANGEISM.” (Received Jannary 14, 9.56 p.m.) LONDON, January 14. The committee stage of the Home Rule Bill was finished in the House of Commons amid Nationalist and Ministerialist cheers. The Government carried a clause fixing the summoning of the Irish Parliament not later than four months after the first Tuesday in the eight month after tho passage of the Bill. Mr Tim Healy contended that the delay of a year was invented to permit tho submission of the Bill to a general election, on the results of which the Irish party were asked to gamble their existence. The clause represented the triumph of Orangeism. The remaining clauses were passed under the guillotine.
