NAVAL PAY
. SOME INCREASES. (Received December 6, 1.6 a.m.) LONDON, December 5. The following announcements are made regarding the pay of officers in the navy: Lieutenants will receive an increase of Is 2d per day, commanders’ half-pay is increased by Is, and captains on half-pay by Ss 6d. On obtaining a sea-going command the money for commanders will be increased from 3s 9d to ss. . All ratings will receive a free kit on joining the service.
