The total quantity of wheat and flour shipped from all exporting countries during tho week ended October 26th was equivalent to 785,000 quarters of wheat, compared with 1,480,000 quarters in the previous week and 1,150,000 quarters a year ago. Practically the whole of the entry changed bands at prices satisfactory to vendors. We sold fat heifers (medium quality) to £6 17s fid, fat cows (light weights) to £7, dairy cows from £5 5s to £6 Is, yearling steers from £2 18s fid to £3 Bs, yearling heifers from £3 2s fid to £5 Bs, smaller sorts from £2 13s to £3, 15-month heifers to £3 10s, 15-month Holstein cross heifers £4 12s fid to £4 15s, store cows from £3 15s to £4 7s. bulls to £4 Is. At Levin on Friday we offered large yarding* of all classes of stock. The attendance was good and competition was keen throughout the sale. iVe have to report a successful sale and a clearance of ah lines submitted at an advance on recent quotations.
