A MISSING CLERGYMAN

FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED

SYDNEY, October 26. The "Herald” states that the relatives of the Rev. W. L. Eoseby, fourth son of Dr Rosoby, the well-known Congregational minister, who disappeared from the steamer Wodonga between Townsville and Bowen, suspecting foul play, have asked for an adjournment of the inquiry in order to secure a more searching investigation.

BRISBANE, October 26. At the inquiry into the Rev. W. h Roseby’s disappearance from the steamer Wodonga, the bedroom steward m his evidence stated that he had been assaulted by two men over a hat-box one was carrying, and believed the nfissing man was one of them. The inquest was adjourned.
