BERLIN, October 24. In consequence of tho ’butchers’ refusal to sell Russian meat imported by tho municipality, a mob of infuriated women stormed tho stalls, trampled tho moat underfoot, and flung sausages at the butchers.
Police cleared tho markets, and tho women then looted neighboring shops. Tho butchers allege that their profits are inadequate, while municipal officials estimate that they average 40s for an ox and 16s for a pig.
