AUSTRALIAN BOARD EXPLAINS ITS ACTION.

SYDNEY, August 5. The secretary of the Board of Control explains tnat prior to the meeting of the Imperial Cricket Conference on July 16th a cable was dispatched to Mr Crouch, manager of the Australian team, intimating that the board did not favour the continuation of_ the triangular teste, but requesting him to arrange the usual visits between England and Australia; also to arrange with the South Africans for future visits.

Some press reports indicated _ that the board had just decided that it did not favour the continuance of the Imperial scheme, hence the confusion and the comment by “Sporting Life.”
