In Scotland the Grampian mountains are snow-clad, and four degrees of frost have been recorded in Devonshire.
Heavy rains during the past month have Hooded tho low-lying country in East Yorkshire, whore hay is floating about tho Helds and other crops are rotting on the ground. In tho west tho rivers Dee and Severn are in flood, and thousands of acres of hay and corn are submerged.
