BUSH ASSOCIATION’S TOUBNEX. PRESS ASSOCIATION. PaJUATUA. August 1. The second tournament under the Bush Gcxiug Association was held here last night, and proved highly successful. The following are the results; Three-round bantam-weight contest —J.’ Moynahan (Bush) v. J. Selby, a draw. Four-mand feather-weight—E. Seyweli iHukanui) beat F. Early (Bush); a knockout in the third . round.
Five-round feather-weight—F. Jervis (Palmerston North) beat A. Law (Daunevirke). The decision was unpopular. , Four-round Ught-weignt—J. Kelly (Bush) beat S. Pratt (Hukanul). Five-round feather-weight W. Shields (Palmerston North) v. W. Ireland (Waipawa), a draw. Four-round middle-weight—P. Byan (Bosh) beat £. Narby (Hukanoi); a knock-out In tbe third round.
Five-round feather-weight—E. Hunt (Bosh) beat P. Brown (Palmerston North). An exhibition contest was given by Q. wVitchmaa (Palmerston North, welterweight champion of New Zealand) and A. Hastings (Palmerston North). Mr A. H. P. Whatman, ol Maaterton, wa« referee. HANNAN v. MUEPHT. The fifteen-round contest between Hannan and Murphy - takes place at the Town Hall on Wednesday next. The local mas since bis amateur days here has gained considerable experience in Australia as sparring partner to many leading men there, and those who have seen him training pronounce him to be >.ono of the ■ cleverest In his class In the Dominion. Hannan, whose vigorous tactics are well known, holds an unbroken record of wins for hls three previous appearances In Wellington. The box plan wUI open at Armit'a on Saturday. ■
