NAVAL MEN RESCUE MANY PEOPLE.

BERLIN, July 29. The accident at Ruegen, by which a number of holiday makers were thrown into the sea and drowned, ocourod while the people wore watching the Gorman battle licet. They made a mad rush towards an incoming steamer, and tho landing stage collapsed, with a portion of tho pier, and 150 people wero precipitated into the sea. A number of bluejackets and officers jumped into tho water and rescued many of tho struggling people. Twen-ty-one bodies have been recovered. It is feared that others are submerged in the ruins.
