LIBERAL M.P. DEAD
MR ABEL THOMAS. LONDON, July 23. Mr Abel Thomas, Liberal M.P. for Carmarthenshire East, is dead. Mr Thomas was sixty-four years of age, and one of the most popular of the 'Welsh members, having eat in the House of Com-' mens for twenty-two years. Graduating from the London University, he was called to the Bar in 1873, aud became Q.C. in 1891.
