HOCKEY
Ladies’ hockey matches set down to have been played last week will be playid on Saturday next. At a meeting of the Canterbury Hockey Association, the Wellington Association iv-roto asking when a visit from a Weliington team would bo acceptable. It was decided to accept a visit for August J2nd if this date suited the Wellington Association, but the match was not to oo a shield match. The Hawke’s Bay Association wrote in reference to the late for their shield match, and suggested September 7th. It was decided to play the match at Lancaster Park on the ~ito suggested.
