VESSEL MAY YET COME TO THE NORTH ISLAND.

PRESS ASSOCIATION 1 . - DUNEDIN, July 2t. Negotiations which have been in pro. grees for some time for the disposal of the General Grant Salvage Company's steamer Wairoa, in pursuance of an order of the' Supreme Court, have terminated in the vessel being taken over by Messrs Stevenson and Cook, Port Chalmers. It is understood that the price paid was between £1550 and £IOOO. It is stated that both a Wellington firm and an Auckland firm are negoliating for the purchase of the craft from her owners.
