Captain Gilbert Hamilton and Mrs Hamilton, Mr Martin Kennedy and Miss Stacia Kennedy, Miss Dora Bo6th (Nelaon), and Mrs C. Rattray, - and Mrs Bridgeman (Dunedin) -were among the passengers to Sydney last Friday, Saturday provided a much finer day at Trentham than was expected , by those in town, there being little wind and no ram, and gleams of Sunshine during the earlier part of the day; consequently those ladies who ventured out were rewarded with a good day s sport. Lord and Lady Islington attended, the latter wearing a coat and skirt of grey cloth, with a black velvet hat simply trimmed with a band oi Oriental embroidery. The dressing, of course, was of the coat and skirt, or heavy long coat variety. All those who possess fur coats wore them/ and some magnificent fur stoles and muffs were to be seen.
