Heavy weather compelled the Star of Scotland, while en route from London, to put in to Albany to replenish her bankers. The Lauderdale is now loading timber at Goelong for Sydney. . Mr W. McLaren joined the Blenheim as engineer yesterday. The Zealandic is expected at Wellington this evening from Picton for Homeward loading. The Navua is to leave Westport at b a.m. to-day for Wellington. The Mangapapa, which arrived at Wellington last evening from Karamea and Westport, is to sail on the return trip today. The Waipori left Wellington yesterday for Greymouth to load for Lyttelton. Mr A. H. Hnsell, of Sydney, has arranged for the steamer Huret to commence loading Japanese products at Tokio at the end of this month, for New Zealand. The Euahine arrived at Plymouth last Wednesday irom Wellington. Mr A. 8. Moys has joined the Himltangi as second officer in place of Mr T. C. Sawyers. ~ , The Eanordale is to leave Melbourne tomorrow for Huon to load timber for Lyttelton and New Plymouth. She will subsequently load timber at Greymouth for Warraambool. The Rotoiti left Westport at 9 a.m. yesterday- for Greymouth. Oh her return trip to Wellington the Rotoiti is expected to leave Westport at 10 a.m. to-day for Nelson, and is due here about 5 p.m. to-mor-row. The Victoria, duo at Wellington to-day from Sydney via northern ports, is to berth at No. 1. north (outer tee), Queen’s wharf, and is to discharge 430 tons ol cargo. Tile Paparoa has been further delayed at Wailara, and she will not reach W ellington until to-morrow. Jier_ departure for Bluff has been postponed till Monday. Mr Garwood, purser of the Mararoa, has been transferred to the Maitai. and Mr G. S. Campbell, - purser of the Moana. has been appointed to the Mararoa. lONIC FROM LONDON. At 7.30 o'clock yesterday morning the lonic arrived in the stream at Wellington Irom London via ports, and after pratique had been granted she berthed at the King's wharf. The vessel left London at 6 p.m. on May 23rd, and she sailed trom Plymouth on tho 25th with' 11 first saloon, 52 second, and 551 third-class passongers for various ports. An uneventful, but lineweather passage was recorded till arrival at Tonenffc. After bunkering the voyage was resumed, and fine weather continued to Capetown. Running down the easting fine conditions prevailed at first, bur latterly gales and rain, cold winds and high seas impeded progress till reaching Hobart at 5 a.m. last Friday. At that port 313 passengers landed for transhipment. By arrangement, the Wimmera, for Melbourne, waited 24 hours for tho transhipping of passengers from the lonic. The vessel discharged 700 tons of cargo, and the last stage of the voyage was commenced at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Fine weather with some occasional rain prevailed till arrival. Wireless communication was maintained with many vessels during the voyage. Captain E. C. Roberts has with him the folk wing officers; —Chief, Mr C. P. Freeman: first, Mr J. McKostic; second, Mr .1. After discharging her Wellington cargo the lonic is to sail for Lyttelton with remainder. HIMITANGI, FROM OHATHAMS:' Tho Himitangi arrived at Wellington at 1 p.m. yesterday from tho Cliathams via Lyttelton. Tho vessel brought 400 live sheep for Lyttelton, and a large quantity of frozen cod for Wellington. The Himitangi left Wellington on June 26th, and arrived at Waitangi 51 hours later, experiencing northerly and north-westerly winds and moderate seas. She called at Owenga, Kaingaroa, Pitt Island, and Waitangi. Strong .south-westerly gales prevailed at the Chathams. Tho return trip was commenced at 12.30 p.m. on Friday. A strong northerly gale and high seas wore encountered for 36 hours. The vessel reached Lyttelton on Monday afternoon. She left Wellington last night for Greymouth, and will proceed afterwards to Tarakohe, Wanganui and Wellington. OVERSEA VESSELS FOR WELLINGTON.
