UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY
SENTENCES ON LIMERICK
RESIDENTS.

• Messrs Dalton, a councillor of .the Irishtown ward of Limerick, Solomon Frost, and John Brennan were sentenced to a month’s imprisonment with hard labour for unlawful assembly. The Union Jack was romoVbd from ■ a local resident’s house.
Accused pleaded that they had acted in tho interests of peace, the majority in the ward being Nationalists.
CORPORATION PROTEST AGAINST SENTENCE.

Tho corporation of Limerick adjourned for a week as a protest against tho sentence on Dalton.
