HUDDART-PARKER
BECOMES LIMITED COMPANY CAPITAL A MILLION AND A HALF By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright (Received December 9, 0.25 a.m.) MELBOURNE, December 8. A company has been formed to take over the assets and liabilities of the Huddart Parker Proprietary Company, Limited, entitled Huddart-Parker, Limited. The authorised capital is one million and a half sterling in 750,000 each of cumulative 6 per cont. preference and ordinary shares of one pound each. The first issue will bo of 500,000 of each denomination, of which 375,000 of each will be taken by the vendor company in payment for' properties transferred. The reasons for creating the new organisation are that tho business and individual interests have outgrown the scope of a proprietary concern, the expanding trade calls for additional vessels, and it is the intend tion of the directors to order one or two new steamers early next year.
