MR BARBER’S CANDIDATURE.' Mr W. H.,P. Barber, Liberal candidate for Wellington South,’ addressed three meetings last night, at the corner of Howard and Wallace streets, in the Newtown Library, and at the foot of Constable street. The were all very successful, cheers being given for Mr Barber at the conclusion of each. , DR OOUZENS. Dr Couzens. spoke at three open-air meetings last evening, and received a good hearing. He spoke on the lines of his previous speeches, and said that new members free from bias and part/ prejudice wore what W'as required in the next assembly of the Legislature. . He received a hearty vote of confidence and thanks, and was repeatedly cheered. MR R. A. WRIGHT. Mr R. A. Wright addressed the workers at the wharf, at midday yesterday, and the employees, of the Wellington Woollen Company, Jervois quay, shortly’ afterwards. At 7, p.m. he spoke at an open air’ meeting, and at 8 o’clock he gave an address at St. Thomas’s Hall. At 9.30 p.m. he spoke at Emmett street, Newtown, and at 10.30 o'clock at the tram terminus, Newtown. At each meeting votes of thanks' and confidence were carried amidst cheers.
