MAGISTRATE'S COURT
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6. (Before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M.) ABSENT FROM SHIP. On charges of absenting themselves without leave from tho steamer Corinthic on. Tuesday. Albert William Rhymes and John Campbell were each ordered, to forfeit two days’ wages and pay court costs 7s, in default twenty-four hoars’ imprisonment. Also they were ordered to be placed on, board the vessel when she is about to sail. DRUNKENNESS. Donald Gillander, on a charge of being found helplessly drunk, was remanded for a week’s medical treatment, and George William Jackson and Donald Mathieson were convicted and discharged for breaches of their prohibition orders, but were sentenced to sis weeks’ imprisonment for drunkenness. John McEachern was convicted and distfliarged for insobriety, and for breaking the conditions of his prohibition, order was fined A 3, in default fourteen days’ imprisonment. Brydd Sheehan, for drunkenness, was fined 20s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment, and four first offender* were convicted and discharged. MOTOR CAE REPAIRS. (Before Dr. A. McArthur, S.M.) Tho case in which a claim for A 43 15s 74 ■was made by Thomas Inglis, motor car importer, carrying on business under the stylo of. Inglis Bros., "Wellington, against, Herbert C. Faulke, surgeon. Upper Willis street, "Wellington, in respect le goods alleged to have been sold and work done to defendant’s motor car, was com tinned yesterday. Plaintiff was represented by Mr H. F. Von Haast, and defendant by Mr F. G, Dalziell.
