"STICK TO OCR PARTY."

(To the Editor " N.Z. Times/') Sir,—l would like to say a few words bat fore the election, which means so much to us all. Let everyone pause and think what our Prime Minister and party have done for us—what would become of us if Sir Joseph Ward let the reins drop (I hop© ho won’t, for there is no one to take his place). Thera is no one In the Opposition that has tho head or “go” in him that our Prime Minister has. Long- may ho live to protect our interests. Ho Is doing all ho can lor us. It is wonderful tho way the. country has gone ahead during the lost few years. Sir Joseph is accused of borrowing too much money. Remember this' is a young country, and wants opening up with railways, roads, etc. We must have monej f to do so. Other countries' have had to borrow, so must wo. It was a noblo and thoughtful act of Sir. Joseph to offer tho Dreadnought at that critical moment. What would become of New Zealand if we had someone at the head who would rather go and have a game of cricket or football than go to drill to learn how to handle a gun to be in readiness to protect themselves, their homes and country? They would want to hide behind our dross skirts in time of danger! I am a mother who has had a family of three boys. My husband was a volunteer in the Homeland, and dearly loved to go on parade. Boys and young men, don’t be cowards’ Go to drill as often as you can. It is good for your heath and makes men of you. The on© who refuses to go to drill, is a disgrace to hie sex, and ought to bo branded as such. I think it # is shameful tho way Sir Joseph is harried. Every time he brings anything out, the other side set on to him like a pack of wolves ready to devour him. Now, sisters and brothers —the voting day la coming, stick to our party, and send them in witb flying colours.—l am, do., A MOTHER OF THEER December 4th.
