Mr and Mrs Goring Johnston'and Miss G. Cameron are staying at the lloyal Oak.

Mr and Mrs Dillon, who have been on a short visit to Wellington, returned to Blenheim yesterday.

Miss Elder loft yesterday on a visit to the Wairarapa.

Mrs Dudley Hill (“Fernhill." Hastings) is on a visit to Wellington.

Mr and Mrs James Edgar (Dunedin) passed through Wellington en route for Auckland yesterday.

Mr and Mrs Brodie (Christchurch) are on a visit to Wellington and arc staying at the Royal Oak.

Miss Westmacott (South Canterbury), who has been staying with her brother at To Kuiti, has arrived in Wellington and is the guest of Mrs P. M. li. Fisher.

Mr and airs White, who have been visiting 'Wellington, have returned to Christchurch.

Miss B. Knight (Wanganui) is staying at the Royal Oak.

Miss Eileen Ward is expected to-mor row by the Sydney boat.

McKenzie, mole coloured) coat and skirt, mole tagel hat with white ospreys, brown furs; Mrs Godiey, black velvet coat and skirt, with a cluster of. dark and light bine flowers; Miss liuddo, wodgewood blue coat and skirt, pale grey hat with largo bow of blue and black striped ribbon.

A most enjoyable young girls’ tea was, given by tho Misses Johnston, Hutt, on] Monday afternoon. Tea was served in, the dining-room, the table w-as tastefully arranged -with howls .of freesias and bronze polyanthus. A feature of the. afternoon was a most amusing guessing competition. The prize, a pretty piece of Donlton ware, was won by Miss. Matthews. The guests were received by l the Misses •: - Johnston. Mjss Johnston; wore a handsome gown of dove grey; cashmere, trimmed with whito Honiton, lace, and Miss Verna Johnston, a pretty; gown of white voile. Amongst those invited were: The Misses Stuart-Forbes (2), Chappie, Harvey, Jones (2), Sladden (2), Climie, Bodmin (2), Bnswell (2),. Yeates, Ross, Kirk, Cuff, Elliot, Mathews, Scales, Humphries, Climie,; Heaton (2), Allport, Humfrey, Kingdom, Pcmaro- and Malcolmson.
