WALL STREET FERMENT
THE STEEL TRUST IN TROUBLE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received September 24, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, September 23. Wild trading in United States steel shares threw Wall street into a ferment. There was liquidation on a large scale. Five points wero lost in the first honr. There was a slight recovery afterwards. 1 The total sales were the largest since 1302. The liquidation was duo to the belief that the Steel Corporation will .be forced to dissolve as the result of the recent suit of the Department of Justice.
