PRISONERS AT A PLAY
THE DRAMA AS A REFORMING AGENT. * By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, (Received September 24, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, September 23. Fifty convicts from the State prison at Denver, Colorado, including several under lilo sentences, attended a dramatic performance at the theatre under a strong guard. The play dealt with a convict’s life in prison, and had a highly moral outcome. The prison warden hopes that the lessons of the drama will bo taken to heart by the prisoners.
