LATEST OPPOSITION MOVE A CENSURE MOTION BY SIR BALFOUR. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, August 2. Sir A. J. Balfour, leader of the Opposition, has giveu uotico that ho wjll move the following censure motion on Monday next: “ That the Government’s obtaining a pledge for the creation of peers is a gross violation of Constitutional liberty, precluding the people from pronouncing on tho question of Home Rule for Ireland.”
Mr Balfour intimated that ho would ask tho Premier to give the date on which the 1 pledge was asked for. Sir Asquith was absent from the House through indisposition when Mr Balfour gave his notice of motion.
LORD LANSDOWNE’S ACTION,
A CENSURE MOTION IN THE LORDS.

Lord Lansdowne, leader of the Unionist party in the House of Lords, has' given notice, on behalf of Lord Curzon, of a motion of censure on the Government, to be moved in the House of Lords on Tuesday next. It is couched on similar terms to those of Mr Balfour’s motion in the House of Commons.
TO SATISFY 1 THE “STALWARTS.”
“A DEMONSTRATION IN FORCE.”
LONDON, August 3, Mr Balfour’s censure motion was sprung with dramatic suddenness.
It is regarded in the lobby as a demonstration in force, aiming at securing reconciliation among the Unionists, and tending to satisfy the combative policy of the stalwarts and to compensate them by allowing the Lords to jraas the Veto Bill. AUTUMN SESSION PROBABLE. PARLIAMENT MAY ADJOURN IN A FORTNIGHT. LONDON, August 3. It has been practically settled to hold an autumn session. Parliament is to adjourn in a fortnight and resume in October.
