VOTE OF CENSURE DEFEATED. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received July 29, 0.45 a.m.) OTTAWA, July 28. A vote of censure on the Government for failure to prevent the illegal entry of Chinese through Vancouver and other irregularities ooameobod with immigration was defeated in the Federal House of Commons by 90 votes to 54. The Government defended itself on the ground that the law had proved defective.
