Ono of the moat deserving activities of tho Y.M.C.A is the strangers’ tea. hold every Sunday afternoon .for entertaining new arrivals to lie country. The tea ■was liist organised in October, 1301, and hae continued with uninterrupted encores ever since. A musical evening was held at the association on Wednesday evening with a view of replenishing the house, keeping cupboard of the committee. Mr H. N. Holmes, general secretary, who was chairman, quoted some interesting facts concerning the work of this tea commit too From October Ist, 1905, to July 23rd, 1911, there had been an attendance of 16.661 members, and no lerss than 3337 strangers, making a grand total of 19,956.
