THREATENED BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. SYDNEY, July 14. A ballot of depositors in the Sayings Bank of Now South Wales resulted in an overwhelming majority against amalgamation with the Government Savings Bank. Mr Carmichael, Acting-Chief Secretary, declares that the ballot was not representative. He intends to proceed with the Amalgamation Bill.
