SHEEP-DOG TRIALS

LATEST RESULTS. PBO\r OUR OWN COBEESPOXDENT. MASTRRTON. May 25. The Mastcrton collie dog trials were continued to-day. Results Heading, driving and yarding, two classes (A) open, (B) open only to competitors residing within the boundaries of the AVairarapa and Masterton electoral districts, head and bring back 4CO yards., drive through ring, drive (75 yards) through' one set of hurdles eight feet apart, drive 75 yards and yard in apen of four hurdles (one hurdle to be used as a gate, arid may be used as a wing). A Class.—A. McLeod’s Pat (23 points), 1: Curtis' Tip (34). 2; J. Miller’s Sweep (35), 5; AV. Pringle's Chcvio (32), 4; F. AV. Jones' Pounce (30), 5; J. Paterson’s Bruce (29), 6. The winners in the B class were A. McLeod’s Pat, J. Miller’s Sweep, and F. AV. Jones’ Bounce, who took first, second, and third respectively, with the same number of points as those given in* the previous class. The heading, bring-back, and hold-ing-ln-ring competition was won by J. Curtis’ Tip, with A. J. Mciklc's AVattie second.

TRIALS AT CHRISTCHURCH. I’EESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, May 26. At the Christchurch sheep-dag trials the heading, bringing' back, holding -in ring, and yarding class was won by R. R. Pollock’s Bob, the second prize going to T. H. Bennett’s Fan, the third to T. AV. McKay's Togo, tho fourth to AV. AV. Little’s Tib, and the fifth to A. Turpin’s Tip.
