Particulars of tho recent hurricane in the New Hebrides, when ten vessels were blown ashore and two white people and six natives were drowned, show that tho effects of the storms were moro devastating than at first reported. The storm was general throughout the group. Houses were unroofed and blown down at Aneitynm and Tenna. It is supposed that several other recruiting vessels besides tho ten. alreadyreported have been blown ashore. The steamer Malaita had a trying experience. She lost her deck cargo and fittings.
