HOCKEY
WEDNESDAY GAMES. Yesterday afternoon the fourth series of games in the competition controlled by the AA'ednesday Association were decided, with the appended results. FAKE HA (3) v. ARTILLERY (0). Playing on the Basin Reserve Palceta, after a more even game than the score indicates, defeated Artillery by 3 goals to nil. Thompson secured . all three goals. Mr C, Smith was referee. PETONE A (4) v. PETONE B (1). Played at Petonc, the A team had all the best of the game and finished up winners by a fair margin of points. Goals for the winners were scored by J. McEwan (2), Beswick and AV. McEwan. Burns scored the goal for the B team. Mr Kean was referee. KAROEI (1) v. HEEEAAVA (0). The exhibition of hookey in this game at Karori was very poor indeed, despite the even nature of the play all through. In the first spell C. Spiers scored the only goal of tho game. Mr Manning was referee. POST AND TEDEGEAPH (4) v. HUI . MAI (3). On the Duppa street reserve, after a good game, which -was open ail through, Post and Telegraph succeeded in defeating Hui Mai. For the winners Sissons, McKay and Jones (2) secured goals, and for the losers Binge and Dalgleish (2) scored. Mr J. C. was referee.
