Dyer has been appointed secretary to St. Matthew's vestry vice Mr W. IS. 'Total £3268. ' Tho capital value of the Masterton borough at tho present time is £1,079,018, of the Masterton county £3,312,776, Featherston county £2,313,689, Mauriceville county £430,069, Castlepoint county £585,735, Paliiatua county £1,693,690, Akitio county £735,861, AVairai'apa South count!-- £1,484,254, Eketahuna county £693,676. A movement is on foot to form a senior cadet corps in Eketahuna. Mr Cairns, district health inspector for AVairarapa, states that there is very little infectious disease in Masterton at tho present time.
