SHIP FOR DR MAWSON
PURCHASE OF A NEWFOUNDLAND WHALER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, May. 22. Dr Mawson has purchased for his Antarctic expedition tho vessel Aurora, 386 tons, specially built for ice-work, and which has hitherto been employed as a Newfoundland whaler. She arrives on Juno Bth, and will be refitted as a bqrquentine. The Port of London Authority will remit dues on the vessel and give her free wharfage. The “ Daily Mail” fund has reached £IO,OOO. ,
