THE WAXHI COMPANY CHAIRMAN REFERS TO RECENT COMPLAINTS. By Telegraph—Press Association-—Copyright - LONDON,: Mar 1 18. ' At the meeting of the Waihi - Goldmining Company. Mr Mitchinsou, who presided, stated that there was not - a shadow of foundation for the suggestion that the directors were possessed of private knowledge which they, had not communicated to the shareholders.. He feared that -the reefs did not possess the stable characteristics which they hoped for. but the potentialities of the mine were enormous. ■ Mr MUchinson added that the board did not object to a much more extended report than Mr Richards had.- had time to malco. should the shareholders desire it. and thev were willing to meet the wishes of New Zealand shareholders by addins to the board on© member closely in, touch wi+h New Zealand.
