FOWL FEED
Poultry-keepers in New South Wales are complaining bitterly of the cost of pollard and bran, and Now Zealand poultrymen .aro in much the same position. Pollard is being quoted at -£G a ton f.o.b, southern ports, and bran £i 10s, while a rise of 10s a ton for each commodity is .predicted. Australian pollard (a much better article, by the way, than that produced hcrel is quoted at j£6 2s 6d f.o.b. Sydney. With ■£! duty and freight.
etc., this means .£8 a ton at least landed in Wellington. The local price of pollard is causing quite a rush on sucrosvne, which at £G 10s f.o.b. Wellington is certainly a cheap line, especially when its higher feeding value is considered.
